Actor Aleksandar (Sasho) Kadiev has been fined after recording a video while driving, he announced on his social media accounts.

The incident took place in Sofia, and Kadiev revealed on Instagram that he had been fined 51 euros and had eight penalty points deducted from his driving record. His daughter was also present in the vehicle when the video was recorded.

In a video posted on Facebook, Kadiev commented on the penalty, saying: We live in a country where everyone uses their phone while driving, but when some people do it, it's a huge problem.

He added: I'm recording this video to show that the law applies to everyone.

Kadiev also said: I only wish we saw the same determination toward those who have been stealing from the state, our billions, and our future for the past 40 years.

Using a mobile phone or recording while driving is considered a serious traffic violation, carrying a 51-euro fine and the deduction of eight penalty points. Authorities have repeatedly warned that the use of mobile devices behind the wheel is a frequent cause of serious road accidents, while fines and penalty points are intended to discourage dangerous driving behavior and improve road safety.
