Bomb Threat Halts Trial for ATV Crash in Sunny Beach.
A bomb threat forced the evacuation of the courthouse in Burgas minutes before the trial of Nikola Burgazliev, who caused a fatal ATV crash in Sunny Beach.
Bomb alert forces evacuation of Burgas Courthouse. This happened minutes before the start of the trial against Nikola Burgazliev, who caused the serious ATV crash in Sunny Beach in which a young woman died and several people were injured. Court security entered minutes before the start of the proceedings and informed the judge about the reported threat.
An immediate evacuation of the people inside the Courthouse followed, while police teams and bomb disposal specialists arrived at the scene. All employees of the institution were evacuated. Police teams entered the building to search the Courthouse for suspicious objects.
If everything is in order, the trial against Burgazliev is expected to begin in about an hour.
The crash killed 35-year-old Hristina, while her young son Martin was seriously injured. Today, the Burgas District Court is beginning the substantive hearing of the case over last summer’s serious ATV incident in Sunny Beach.
Relatives of Hristina said they would not allow the perpetrator to be released. The protest was announced for 9:00, but people were already gathering.
If he asks Hristina for forgiveness, then we will forgive him; otherwise, no. There must be a fair sentence — the maximum one, said Yuliyan Zdravkov, uncle of the injured and father of two of the injured children.
