Dimitar, who made a citizen's arrest of a drunk driver: Just stop and ask if everything is okay, if it's normal, if they're alive.

The incident occurred on Friday at around 6:00 p. m.

It took place on a road leading to Burgas' ring road, which connects Sozopol and the southern seaside resorts with the motorway.

Passers-by noticed a driver who had entered the oncoming lane, creating an immediate danger to other road users. Authorities later determined that the driver had a blood alcohol level of more than 3‰.

Dimitar Ivanov, who was in the third car in the traffic queue, witnessed the dangerous maneuver and immediately stepped in to secure the situation.

First, I applied the handbrake, switched off the engine, took the keys, and then started talking to him, Ivanov said.

He said he immediately smelled alcohol but remained calm. He offered the driver a cigarette and some water and asked him to get out of the car and sit down while they waited for the police.

Almost nobody around stopped to help. I immediately realized he had been drinking because I could smell the alcohol. Even so, I stayed calm, offered him a cigarette, spoke with him, asked him to get out of the car, sit down, calm himself, and gave him some water, Ivanov added.
