After Attempt to Pressure Police: 5000 Euro Bail for Darina Aleksieva After Nighttime Drama in Sofia.
24-year-old Darina Aleksieva has been officially charged and ordered to pay bail of 5000 euros.
A 24-year-old woman has been charged after crashing her car following a police chase on Sofia's Ring Road. According to the Sofia Directorate of the Interior (SDVR), she was driving with a breath alcohol concentration of 2.31 per mille.
Police said the driver ignored an order to stop, prompting officers from the Seventh Regional Police Department to pursue the vehicle. A short time later, the car was found crashed into a roadside safety barrier.
The driver and her 23-year-old Russian passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
During the subsequent police procedures, the woman allegedly attempted to exert pressure on officers through a phone call to her father. She later refused to sign the documents presented to her by the police.
Authorities have charged the 24-year-old woman and imposed bail of5,000.
In a statement to the media, former Sofia municipal councilor Orlin Aleksiev distanced himself from the case, saying he lives separately from his daughter and has no contact with her.
Police also revealed that, shortly before the incident, patrol officers had been dispatched to the address the two occupants had left following reports of public disturbance and excessive nighttime noise.
