All three mayoral candidates nominated by the MRF won in the first round of partial local elections in the Kardzhali and Razgrad regions.

All Three DPS Candidates Win Partial Local Elections.

In two of the villages, the candidates ran unopposed. Meanwhile, Peevski said the election results were a clear sign of citizens’ trust in the movement’s candidates and in the policies the party defends at the local level.

Peevski congratulated the newly elected mayors — Mediha Mustafa, who won the election for mayor of the village of Dolishte in Kardzhali Municipality; Orhan Ahmed, elected mayor of the village of Dedino in Ardino Municipality; and Kerim Ahmed, who received the trust of residents in the village of Podayva in Isperih Municipality. In Dolishte and Dedino, the mayoral candidates were the only contenders and were nominated by the DPS.

In the village of Dolishte, Kardzhali Municipality, Mediha Mustafa received 18 votes out of a total of 21 voters who took part in the election, with 75 people on the voter list. The election results confirmed trust in the DPS candidates in different parts of the country: Mediha Mustafa was elected mayor of the village of Dolishte, Kardzhali Municipality, Kardzhali Region. Two voters marked I support no one, while one ballot was declared invalid.
