Search for Natalia and Stepfather Enters Third Week; Child Not with Him for Days.
The search for 11-year-old Natalia and her stepfather has been ongoing for two weeks. The child has not been with him for several days.
The search for 11-year-old Natalia from the village of Konstantinovo and her stepfather, who allegedly abducted her, has continued for two weeks.
Volunteers involved in the search operation reported that the man was allegedly spotted last night in the area of the village of Velichkovo, Varna region. According to them, Natalia may be hidden somewhere nearby, but her condition is unknown. They believe she could be in a local waterfall area, a cave, or an abandoned house. The suspect is familiar with the area and is capable of covering many kilometers through difficult and forested terrain.
Authorities investigating the case said that the man seen in the village of Velichkovo, municipality of Dulgopol, has nothing to do with the abduction of 11-year-old Natalia Asenova and her stepfather Asen Simeonov. The man in question is 45 years old, from the village, has mental health issues, and was seen first in the yard of a house and later near the railway line.
The search for Natalia continues with the use of drones and thermal cameras, but so far neither of them has been found.
Local residents claim that thefts have increased in the village in recent days and believe they were committed by the wanted Simeonov.
We have not slept for 14 days, but the search continues, volunteer Dotsev said.
