Emrah Storaro after another violation: There were other cars, but you only noticed this one.
The luxury car filmed driving through the pedestrian zone in Sozopol's park belongs to singer Emrah Storaro. Officers from the Sozopol police station took action on their own.
Police in Burgas launched an inquiry after a Porsche passenger car with Sofia registration plates was filmed driving through the pedestrian zone of the Old Town in Sozopol.
The footage, circulated on social media, sparked numerous reactions, as the car was alleged to belong to singer Emrah Storaro. He later admitted in a social media video that he had been behind the wheel.
The Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said it was established that the car had crossed the alley diagonally. At the time of the violation, the alley was not marked with prohibitory road signs or road markings, nor was it secured with restricting facilities such as posts or a barrier.
The driver will be issued a violation report under the Road Traffic Act. Emrah Storaro has been summoned to the Regional Police Department in Sozopol, where the sanction will be formally issued.
Sozopol Mayor Tihomir Yanakiev said that restricting posts had been installed at the entrance to the pedestrian zone as of this morning. According to him, from now on access will be allowed only for vehicles of the waste collection company and specialized vehicles in emergencies, including ambulances, fire engines and other emergency response services.
Emrah Storaro has previously been involved in another case related to dangerous driving. He was filmed in a video on a boulevard in Sofia together with singer Konstantin. After that case, both were summoned for questioning, and Emrah’s driving licence was revoked.
Emrah Storaro is the younger son of the well-known pop-folk singer Toni Storaro and the brother of Fiki Storaro.
