European Public Prosecutor's Office Imposes Reprimand on Teodora Georgieva.

The decision concludes the disciplinary proceedings against Georgieva after she was found guilty of a serious disciplinary breach related to ongoing investigations conducted by the EPPO, according to the institution's statement.

The Disciplinary Board unanimously concluded that Georgieva had committed the violations and recommended that she receive a reprimand. After seeking opinions from the relevant European institutions, the College found her guilty and imposed the disciplinary sanction.

The statement notes that the EPPO is the independent prosecution office of the European Union, responsible for investigating, prosecuting and bringing to court criminal offenses affecting the financial interests of the European Union.

The College found Georgieva guilty of three disciplinary violations connected to EPPO investigations. It had previously postponed its decision on the type of sanction and requested the opinions of the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission regarding the possibility of referring the matter to the Court of Justice of the European Union under the EPPO Regulation with the aim of removing the European Prosecutor from office.
