G. Singer Lauren Bennett Dies at 37
It is with the deepest sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Lauren, the group wrote on their Instagram page. Born in Meopham, Kent, UK, Bennett took part in local talent competitions and sang in pubs and bars before joining the reality show The X Factor.
After being eliminated in the final stage, she was invited to audition for the girl group Paradiso Girls and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17.
The group released the single Patron Tequila featuring Lil Jon and Eve, which reached No. 3 on the U.S. dance club songs chart in 2009.
Which featured on Pitbull’s 2014 single Wild Wild Love. The group achieved its biggest success with Ugly Heart, which reached the Top 20 in the United Kingdom and the Top 5 in Australia and New Zealand.
We will forever hold in our hearts the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us, her bandmates added.
They described her as a beautiful soul who touched the lives of many people. Her beautiful spirit touched the lives of so many, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved, the statement said.
