GERB to Sue Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev Over Allegations.

GERB categorically rejects the claims related to public procurement contracts for road infrastructure. The position was stated in the National Assembly by MP Toma Bikov after the minister said that GERB leader Boyko Borissov’s connection to guardrail companies was visible, BGNES reported.

In response to Ivan Demerdzhiev’s statement that two companies linked to Boyko Borissov had won all public contracts for roads and guardrails, party representatives presented documents which, according to them, show that key contracts were signed by subsequent governments.

This was stated to journalists by GERB MPs Toma Bikov and Nikolay Nankov. Bikov stressed that after Borissov, around ten prime ministers have changed in Bulgaria, under whom the same companies continued to sign contracts with the state.

Former regional development and public works minister Nikolay Nankov said that the most recently concluded contracts with the companies referred to by Ivan Demerdzhiev were signed by Minister Ivan Shishkov during the Donev cabinet.

According to Toma Bikov, the interior minister remains completely silent on other important issues such as Petrohan – Okolchitsa, Botash and. The Koprinka Road.

Shishkov explained that the procedure had not been terminated, but was before the Commission on Protection of Competition because of appeals against five of the six separate lots — this is again a factual error, not to say a lie, Nankov said.

Bikov explained that after Borissov’s government, around ten prime ministers have changed in Bulgaria, under whom the same companies signed contracts for guardrails. For this reason, GERB expects Ivan Demerdzhiev to investigate all these prime ministers.
