Intense Leak on Alexander Dyakovich Street in Varna Continues, Odesos District Seeks Mayor's Assistance.
An inspection at 15 Alexander Dyakovich Street in Varna has again revealed an intense leak.
The administration of Varna's Odesos District announced on its official Facebook page that the planned repair works are not within the district's authority.
According to district officials, identifying the exact cause of the problem requires surveying the collector and carrying out excavation works to assess its condition. Only then can the necessary construction activities be determined through a technical design or, at a minimum, a detailed repair plan for the pipeline.
Officials added that the project may also require engineering plans for excavation support and drainage, a temporary traffic management plan, and a health and safety plan for the construction works.
The administration warned that deploying construction equipment and carrying out the repairs would require traffic restrictions or a full road closure for more than 72 hours.
Another challenge is the presence of high-voltage power cables above the damaged section, supplying more than 2,000 households in the Odesos District. According to officials, there are no alternative routes for these power lines.
The administration also noted that repairs on Aleksandar Dyakovich Street would require excavating the roadway, causing traffic disruptions for an undetermined period because public transport routes pass through the street.
The Odesos District further recalled that, in a letter dated April 9, it had already stressed the need for complete project documentation before construction works begin. It continues to call on Varna Municipality to commission the necessary technical design and provide funding for the project.
