Interior Ministry Marks 147 Years Since Its Establishment with Initiative at Varna Sea Station.
The Ministry of Interior marked 147 years since its establishment. On this occasion, the Varna Regional Directorate of the Interior organized an initiative at the Sea Station, which gathered dozens of citizens and guests of the city.
The Ministry of the Interior marked its professional holiday. This year marks 147 years since the establishment of the institution, which for more than a century has carried out its mission in service to society by protecting the life, health, rights and security of citizens.
The event was attended by the director of the Varna Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry, Senior Commissioner Tsvetan Pirovski, the director of the Varna Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection, Senior Commissioner Stoyan Stoyanov, and the head of the Varna Port Border Police Department, Commissioner Diyan Ivanov.
Participants included representatives of the General Directorate Gendarmerie, Special Operations and Counterterrorism, the General Directorate Border Police, the Varna Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection, the Traffic Police sector, Municipal Police, Specialized Police Forces, the Interior Ministry Academy, the Varna Fire Safety and Civil Protection Training Centre, service dog handlers and motorized police teams.
Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the work of the different structures of the Ministry of the Interior and to see the specialized vehicles and equipment used in officers’ daily work.
Police cars, motorcycles, firefighting equipment, the Border Police vessel and the equipment demonstrated by officers in their everyday duties attracted particular interest.
The youngest visitors also took part in the initiative with curiosity. They had the opportunity to talk to officers, see the equipment up close and learn more about the professions dedicated to protecting public order and security.
