Israel Reports Drone Attack From Lebanon Amid Truce Talks.

According to the Israeli military, two impacts were recorded on Israeli territory after warning systems were activated due to the intrusion of a hostile drone. Two far-right Israeli ministers who are members of the security cabinet called for retaliatory strikes against Beirut's southern suburbs, known as Dahiyeh, a stronghold of the Iranian-backed movement Hezbollah.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wrote on social media platform X that the attacks on northern Israel are testing the government's declared policy toward Dahiyeh. He insisted that the policy be implemented firmly and decisively and called for the destruction of buildings in the area.

The attack and subsequent threats of retaliation come as U.S. President Donald Trump and a Pakistani mediator said plans are in place for an agreement with Iran to be signed today in an effort to end the war in the Middle East.

According to their statements, the position also has Washington's backing. Tehran has not confirmed the information so far. Iran is also insisting that Lebanon be included in any potential agreement to end the hostilities.
