Search for 11-year-old Natalia, abducted by mother's ex-boyfriend.

The search continues for 11-year-old Nataliya Asenova from the Varna village of Konstantinovo. The child has been missing since Tuesday and, according to the Interior Ministry, was abducted by 40-year-old Asen Antonov Simeonov, with whom her mother had been living.

Nataliya’s mother confirmed that on Tuesday night the man first beat and tied her up. He then forced the child to leave with him through threats, with the mother saying he threatened her in order to take the girl away.

Police and volunteers from the village are searching for the child and combing the surrounding area, but so far no trace of the two has been found. About 50 volunteers, divided into groups, are searching an area of more than 50 km around Konstantinovo. There are different theories about where the man and the girl may have gone, and police are checking each of them.

According to the Interior Ministry, Nataliya is about 160 cm tall, with a large build, shoulder-length brown hair and light-colored eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing light-colored long trousers, a short white jacket with red flowers and black trainers. Asen Antonov Simeonov is 40 years old, about 170 cm tall, with a large build, short hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a short-sleeved blue T-shirt, black tracksuit trousers and black trainers.

Relatives of the family said that although the man is not Nataliya’s biological father, he had taken care of her, but became aggressive after he started drinking.

The Varna Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry emphasized that the main priority at this stage is to safely establish the child’s whereabouts. For this reason, no additional information about the case is being provided, as any ill-considered statement could hinder the search and put her life and health at risk.
