July Starts With Heat, Rainfall Expected Below Normal.

The month will begin with high temperatures, but maximum values will drop in the middle of the ten-day period. During the first days of July and around July 7–8, the air mass will be unstable. Cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, and short-lived rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas of western and central Bulgaria. July will be dynamic, sunny and at times extremely hot, with the country experiencing significant temperature fluctuations.

Weak atmospheric disturbances may pass around July 16,23 and 30, when the air mass will become unstable and isolated areas may see rain and thunder. The weather will be relatively more stable and warmer in the middle and at the end of the ten-day period.

During most days of the second and third ten-day periods of July, the weather will be sunny and hot. Temperatures along the Black Sea coast will be lower.

This year, the average monthly temperature in July is expected to be above normal, which for most of the country ranges between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, and in the mountains between 6 and 14 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast by Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Krasimir Stoev of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), temperatures during the month will exceed the usual seasonal values.

Traditionally, the weather along the Black Sea coast will be slightly cooler.
