Man sexually abused children aged 9 and 7 at home.

Under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kostinbrod, Territorial Division – Svoge, investigative actions are being carried out in a pretrial proceeding opened at the Svoge Police Department over abuse of minors. The Kostinbrod District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a 42-year-old man over abuse of minors, the prosecution said.

So far, it has been established that on the 28th, in a settlement in Sofia Region, abusive acts were committed against two minors — a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. The criminal act was carried out over a certain period of time in a domestic setting, with relationships of trust and dependence with the victims being used.

Active procedural and investigative actions have been carried out under the supervision of the prosecution. A search and seizure were conducted at a residential property, during which items relevant to the subject of proof were found and seized.

The supervising prosecutor will submit a request to the court for the accused to be remanded in custody. The charge concerns a serious intentional crime marked by a high degree of public danger, both because of the nature of the act and the particular vulnerability of the victims. By order of the supervising prosecutor, the accused has been detained for up to 72 hours.
