Girl Saves Mother After She Passes Out Behind the Wheel.
A girl saved her mother and prevented a serious crash after the woman passed out behind the wheel on the road from Sofia to Pernik. The child controlled the car and called emergency services.
The child said her mother was driving a Hyundai car from Sofia toward Pernik when she became unwell and passed out. The vehicle, however, continued moving along the highway.
While holding the steering wheel, the girl managed to contact the emergency number and explain the situation. Immediate coordination followed between the child, the officers on duty at the Second Police Precinct and the Pernik Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry. Police teams were sent to the location with a clear understanding that every second was crucial.
Instead of giving in to fear, the young passenger showed remarkable composure. While the car continued moving along the busy road, she managed to control its direction, guide it safely into the emergency lane and stop the vehicle using the start-stop button.
With her actions, the child saved her mother’s life and prevented a potentially serious road accident, showing a presence of mind that would impress even the most experienced drivers.
