New STEM Center Opens at Vasil Levski School in Pleven.
A new STEM center with classrooms for mathematics, informatics and natural sciences has opened at Vasil Levski Primary School in Pleven. Students presented demonstrations with modern equipment.
The center includes two themed classrooms — one for Mathematics and Informatics and one for natural sciences.
The official opening began with a Bulgarian folk dance performed by students from the school, followed by greetings from Principal Tanya Toneva, Dr. Paulina Kirova and Albena Toteva. Guests at the event also included Irena Aleksandrova, head of the Education and Youth Activities Department at Pleven Municipality; Genadiy Geshev, director of the Center for Work with Children; and Biserka Ilieva, a representative of Prosveta Publishing House.
With joy and pride, we officially open the new STEM center in our school — a space where science, technology, engineering and mathematics will inspire students to discover, explore and create, Tanya Toneva said, thanking everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of the project.
The principal emphasized that the new space was created to encourage students to explore, discover and create in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
After the symbolic ribbon-cutting, guests toured the new classrooms and watched demonstrations presented by the students. They had the opportunity to learn about work with a digital microscope, laboratory equipment, a 3D printer, interactive technologies and interesting practical experiments.
The project Building a School STEM Environment and High-Tech Equipped and Connected Classrooms was implemented under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan with financial support from the European Union — Next Generation EU.
