NSO Security for Delyan Peevski Cost 226,000 Leva.

The response shows that over the ten-month period, the officers assigned to Delyan Peevski’s security received a total of 182,651.33 leva in salaries and travel allowances. Transport costs for the vehicles used by Peevski totaled 44,029.24 leva, with part of the nearly 10,000 kilometers traveled covered by a vehicle provided by DPS for use by the NSO.

DPS expressed satisfaction with the court ruling that made public the security expenses for party leader Delyan Peevski. Lawyer Aleksandar Kashamov represented the case and gave permission to Po sveta i u nas to publish the information.

Peevski has repeatedly insisted on clarifying the facts related to the security assigned to him by a decision of the Commission, in order to stop speculation and false claims on the matter, but access was denied on the grounds that the information was classified. The court found that this was not the case, but to avoid difficulties for the administration, it gave specific instructions on how the information should be provided and noted that Peevski himself had requested its disclosure.
