Payment of Pensions Updated by 7,8% Begins Today.

The payment of the updated pensions will be carried out through post offices from Tuesday, July 7, to Monday, July 20, inclusive. The money for pensioners who receive payments by bank transfer will be available in their accounts today, the National Social Security Institute said.

The 7.8% indexation of pensions under the so-called Swiss rule will cover all people whose employment-related pension was granted by the end of 2025.

The minimum amount of the basic pension for length of service and age will also be increased by the same percentage, rising from 322.37 to347.51.

As of July 1, pensioners who receive part of the pension of their deceased spouse will also receive a 7.8% increase in the amounts they receive.

The minimum amounts of other employment-related pensions derived from this level will also be adjusted upwards, including pensions for length of service and age with incomplete contributory service, disability pensions, survivor pensions and others.

The social old-age pension is also subject to indexation and was set by a Council of Ministers decree at183.81. Its increase will also have a positive effect on a number of other pensions and supplements whose amounts are determined as a percentage of the social old-age pension.
