The Faculty of Economics of the Thracian University awarded diplomas to 117 graduates.

The graduation ceremony was held at the university’s Forum Stage and brought together members of the academic leadership, students and faculty. Representatives of the regional and municipal administrations, the business community, the banking sector, regional institutions, parents and guests also attended.

The event was attended by representatives of the university leadership, regional and municipal authorities, businesses, the banking sector and regional institutions. Official guests included the Regional Governor of Stara Zagora, Deputy Mayor for Finance, Budget and Economy Svetoslav Kolev, Deputy Mayor for Transport, Ecology, Investments and Green Transition Radostin Tanev, and Municipal Council Chair Iveta Lazarova.

For the first time, a graduating class from the Software Engineering program received its diplomas.

The ceremony was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Assoc. Prof. In his address to the graduates, the faculty leadership emphasized the importance of modern economic education for Bulgaria’s development amid global and national transformations.

Radostin Tanev congratulated the graduates on behalf of Stara Zagora Municipality and Mayor Zhivko Todorov, noting that the day marked the successful completion of a significant challenge. He pointed out that the labor market is changing, but that artificial intelligence should always be guided by human intelligence, and expressed confidence in the graduates’ ability to adapt.

The university leadership also encouraged the graduates: Keep learning, never stop exploring and striving. Your success today is a success for our entire community.
