First Protest Against Rumen Radev’s Cabinet Held in Sofia.

The demonstration was announced for 6:30 p. m. and was organized on social media by well-known civic activist Manol Glishev. Hundreds of citizens carrying Bulgarian and European flags are gathering at the site.

Manol Glishev, one of the organizers of the demonstration, said that Rumen Radev had allowed himself to create a state budget that makes even the Rosen Zhelyazkov budget pale in comparison. Glishev, who was wearing a T-shirt with the inscription Freedom for the Heroes of Azov and the colors of the Ukrainian flag, said: Prime Minister Radev continues to export weapons to Ukraine, which is good, but why is he lying that he is stopping aid to the attacked country?

He asked why the Files Commission and the Parliamentary Committee on Demographic Policy, Children and the Family were being closed at the same time, stressing that in this way Radev was closing down the past and the future.

Metodi Lalov, former head of the Sofia City Court and a municipal councilor, now a speaker at the protest, said that Bulgaria would not serve Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Lalov, Radev is afraid of the people and does not dare to come out among them at today’s protest.

A notification for tonight’s protest has been submitted to Sofia Municipality, the municipality told BTA. Police are present in the area around the so-called triangle of power and are not allowing protesters to reach the entrance of the Council of Ministers.
