Peevski Seeks Data on All People Guarded by NSO Since 2013.

DPS leader Delyan Peevski will submit a request to the head of the National Protection Service (NSO), Major General Emil Tonev, under the Access to Public Information Act for data on all individuals who have been guarded from 2013 to the present, as well as on all costs related to providing the security regime.

The request is official under the Access to Public Information Act and includes the provision of information on all individuals guarded from 2013 to date and the related costs.

DPS says Delyan Peevski’s NSO security amounted to just over BGN 220,000 for a period of 10 months, according to information released yesterday.

According to the party’s statement, the information will answer the significant public and media interest in the procedure and duration of NSO security provided to people who hold or have held high public office, as well as in the way public financial resources are spent on this protection.

If the head of the NSO refuses to provide the requested information, Peevski will turn to the Administrative Court, which already has case law on the issue, DPS said.

The party also expressed satisfaction with the decision of the Dobrich Administrative Court related to the disclosure of the security costs for the DPS leader.
