13 752 Vehicles Checked in Police Operation, 31 Drunk Drivers Caught.

A total of 13,752 motor vehicles were checked as part of an ordered specialized police operation to enforce the Road Traffic Act. Traffic police officers inspected 17,397 drivers and passengers on roads across the country.

In the past day alone, law enforcement officers identified dozens of serious violations related to road safety. A total of 31 drivers were caught driving after consuming alcohol. Of them, 13 were driving with a blood alcohol concentration between 0.5 and 1.2 per mille, while another 18 were found with more than 1.2 per mille.

Three drivers refused to be tested by Traffic Police teams. Four people were caught driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, while one driver refused to undergo a drug test.

For the administrative violations established during the operation, 3,844 fines and 461 administrative violation reports were issued. The specialized police operation on roads across the country continues, with checks in busy sections remaining intensified.

The main focus of the Interior Ministry operation remains preventing drivers from operating vehicles after using alcohol, narcotic substances or their analogues, as well as strengthened control over unlicensed drivers.
