Psychiatrist: Missing man will use child as bargaining chip.

Veselin Gerev said in the studio of BNT’s Denyat zapochva. He predicted that soon the search teams may no longer be able to find him.

According to him, the wanted man’s approach is such that he knew the child well and managed to establish an emotional connection with her when he abducted her. Gerev said the man did not use violence against the child, but aggression against the mother, after which the child followed him. In effect, he promised the child that nothing would happen to her or her mother if she followed his instructions.

This type of person, with problems in character stability, can act both in a planned and an impulsive way. Everything suggests that he planned this situation and prepared quite well. The ultimate goal is further humiliation of the mother, the psychiatrist commented.

The large-scale search operation for 11-year-old Natalia Slavova Asenova from the Varna village of Konstantinovo is continuing for a seventh day. She has been missing since June 30, when, after a threat to her mother’s life, the girl left with her mother’s former partner, Asen Simeonov. Forested areas and settlements in Varna Region are being searched after reports that the two may have passed through them.
