Putin Vows to Guarantee Russia’s Security

Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to guarantee the security of the country and to deal with the challenges, as Kyiv continues to strike Russian military and energy infrastructure in an attempt to weaken Moscow’s military capabilities, Agence France-Presse reported.

In recent months, Ukraine has intensified its campaign of strikes against Russia and Moscow-controlled regions in Ukraine. Kyiv says the attacks are in response to Russian bombardments that have caused death and destruction almost daily since the start of Russia’s full-scale offensive in February 2022.

But we will undoubtedly guarantee the security of the country and of our citizens, Putin said during a congress of his United Russia party, which gathered for a conference ahead of the September elections.

Kyiv has specifically targeted energy infrastructure in order to disrupt the flow of hydrocarbon revenues that allow the Kremlin to finance its war effort.

Meanwhile, Russia is going through a difficult period, but it has taught the country a great deal, Russian President Vladimir Putin said today, according to TASS and Reuters.
