Casualties Reported as Russia and Ukraine Exchange Drone Attacks.

Two people were killed and ten injured in a Ukrainian attack on Russia’s border Bryansk region, the regional governor said. Air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense destroyed seven drones heading toward Moscow, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The Russian city of Tolyatti was also targeted in a Ukrainian drone attack, Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said on Telegram, Reuters reported.

Russia’s air defense system intercepted and destroyed seven unmanned aerial vehicles bound for Moscow. Emergency service specialists are working at the sites where debris fell, Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram channel.

Tolyatti is located on the Volga River, about 800 kilometers southeast of Moscow. It is home to Russia’s largest automobile manufacturer, Avto VAZ.

Two people were killed and two others injured in shelling of the Suzemka district near the border. Another seven people were wounded in an attack on gas stations in Starodub, the governor said, adding that a five-year-old boy was injured in a separate drone strike.

In Ukraine’s northern Sumy region, a 44-year-old woman was killed and another woman, aged 33, was seriously injured in a Russian drone attack, regional governor Oleh Hryhorov said on Telegram early today.

Three more people were injured in a drone attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, local authorities reported.
