U.S. Launches New Airstrikes Against Iran
The U.S. launched new airstrikes against Iranian military sites after an attack on an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
The United States carried out a new series of airstrikes against Iranian military sites overnight. Missile and unmanned aerial vehicle storage facilities, as well as coastal radar stations, were hit.
The unjustified aggression against the commercial vessel was an unequivocal violation of the ceasefire, the statement said. President Donald Trump announced the actions in a post on the social network Truth Social after an oil tanker was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Iranian state television IRIB reported that explosions were heard in the early hours of Sunday in the Sirik area in the southern part of the country.
This is a reckless violation of our ceasefire agreement, Trump wrote on Truth Social. He added that it was very likely they would never learn their lesson. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!
One of the drones hit the cargo ship. Despite the damage, the vessel was able to continue its journey. President Donald Trump accused Iran of carrying out at least four drone attacks against ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
