Slavi Trifonov Demands Demerdzhiev Stop Speculation on Petrohan Case.
Slavi Trifonov sent an open letter to Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, with a copy to President Rumen Radev, demanding an immediate end to speculation and the official disclosure of the truth regarding the Petrohan case. Trifonov accused Demerdzhiev of verbiage and spreading rumors about suicides and murders, despite the expert reports being ready.
The leader of There Is Such a People, Slavi Trifonov, criticised Ivan Demerdzhiev’s conduct during a television interview related to the investigation into the Petrohan case.
Trifonov said Demerdzhiev had not spoken, but had indulged in empty rhetoric, and accused him of becoming intoxicated with his role as interior minister.
According to him, Demerdzhiev is spreading rumours without evidence. Trifonov said that in his interview on BNT, Demerdzhiev himself began talking about suicides and murders, even though the expert reports are in his possession and specialists have explained to him what happened.
The leader of There Is Such a People added that Demerdzhiev is hiding behind the prosecution and blaming the previous regular government, which, according to him, was the only one that had released information about the case.
Trifonov noted that Demerdzhiev had asked which politicians were involved and who financed the sect, but according to him the answers are unambiguously clear. Among the names he mentioned were Boyko Rashkov, Borislav Sandov, Nadezhda Yordanova, Nikolay Denkov, Mayor Vasil Terziev and Demerdzhiev himself as caretaker interior minister.
In his statement, the television host and leader of There Is Such a People called for an immediate end to speculation and for the truth to be officially presented on the basis of the completed expert reports.
Slavi Trifonov once again issued a strongly worded open letter addressed to Ivan Demerdzhiev, with a copy to Rumen Radev, sharply criticising Demerdzhiev’s conduct during the television interview.
