Slavi Trifonov Demands Interior Ministry Answers on Petrohan Case.

According to him, such behaviour by the minister creates the impression that facts are being concealed.

In his open letter, Slavi Trifonov also addressed Rumen Radev directly, referring to him as Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria. He urged Radev to take immediate measures regarding the interior minister appointed by him and to intervene firmly in order to force his subordinates to provide the answers expected by the public in the case.

The letter, like the previous ones, was copied to Prime Minister Rumen Radev. Trifonov accused the interior minister of deliberately shirking responsibility and warned him that he was beginning to resemble a self-important official. How long, Mr Minister, are we supposed to wait for you? He asked, adding: We are the ones asking the questions, and the answers are with you.

He is once again sending a letter to Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev regarding the Petrohan case. I did not write this many letters in the army to the girlfriend I left in Pleven, and yet I write to you every week, Trifonov said.

Trifonov stresses that over the years he has seen many interior ministers, most of whom quickly turned into bureaucrats detached from reality, and warns Ivan Demerdzhiev that he is heading down the same path. The context is the lack of public information on the Petrohan case.
