Modern STEM Labs and High-Tech Classroom Opened in Stara Zagora School.

The modern educational space was built under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and will support students’ learning through hands-on practice, experimentation, and the use of modern digital technologies. The new environment includes STEM laboratories in the fields of Green Technologies and Natural Sciences, as well as a high-tech classroom equipped with modern tools for interactive learning.

During the opening, students presented a short festive program and demonstrations related to the new facilities. Nadezhda Chakarova congratulated the school leadership, teachers, and students on the completed project and emphasized the importance of investment in modern educational infrastructure for the development of children and young people. A year and a half to two years ago we started developing these projects together, and today we can say that STEM spaces have been built in schools in Stara Zagora, she noted. According to her, the STEM environment allows children to work with new technologies, experiment, and prepare for the professions of the future. She added that modern education requires not only theoretical knowledge but also the development of practical skills.

I have always believed that ‘Kolio Ganchev’ Primary School is not just a wonderful school, but the heart of the community here – a place that generations of families have passed through, Chakarova also said, expressing confidence that the school will continue its successful development. The deputy mayor also highlighted the school’s role as an important center for the local community. She recalled that in recent years, other significant improvements have been implemented at Kolio Ganchev Primary School, including the renovation of the cafeteria and the gymnasium.
