6 Months in Prison for Man Who Threatened Mother and Sister.

The Targovishte District Prosecutor’s Office has secured a swift and final court ruling against a 43-year-old man, identified as P. , who was found guilty and sentenced to six months in prison under a strict regime. The sentence was imposed for issuing death threats against his mother and sister in a domestic violence context.

After returning home under the influence of alcohol, P. was in an irritable mood and directed his aggression toward his mother and sister, who were in the apartment. He took a kitchen knife, placed it on the table, and told the two women that whoever was indicated first by the knife would be killed first.

According to the Targovishte District Prosecutor’s Office, the 43-year-old will serve a six-month prison sentence under a strict regime for the threats made. Just one month after being charged, the case was concluded, and he was taken into custody at the request of the supervising prosecutor.

The act was committed during the daytime, with P. targeting his mother and sister in their home. He is a repeat offender, including previous convictions for bodily harm in a domestic violence context, and had served an effective prison sentence until September 2024 for that offense.
