Ruse Theater Group Artmosfera Wins Grand Prize at Kliment Mihaylov Festival.

Over five days, 16 performances featuring more than 180 participants from across the country were presented in Ruse, the municipality announced. The Artmosfera theatre group from Ruse received the Grand Prize at the 29th National Student Theatre Festival Kliment Mihaylov.

The Ruse-based group earned the prestigious award for its production Almost Happiness by Hanoch Levin, directed by Evgenia Yavasheva. The award was presented by the chair of the festival jury, actress Albena Pavlova. The ceremony took place at the Dohodno Zdanie in Ruse, where the winners were announced.

Special awards were presented for outstanding performances. In the first age group, the jury’s Special Award went to Arabian Tales, performed by the Peter Pan Children’s Theatre Academy from Varna. In the second age group, the distinction was awarded to the Piron Student Theatre Studio from Ruse, led by Ventsislav Petkov. Awards were presented in two age categories – up to 14 years and over 14 years – with individual prizes for supporting and leading male and female roles in both groups.

Deputy Mayor Borislav Rachev congratulated all participants and expressed hope that they would continue to be bold and seek new creative challenges. He thanked the organizers and encouraged the students to preserve their creative spirit, continue experimenting and believe in themselves.
