Representatives of tourism organizations from across Bulgaria expressed their support for the modernization of the Malyovitsa lift during a tourism festival organized by the Bulgarian Tourist Union.
Through a symbolic performance, participants voiced their support for the resort's development and the efforts to establish Malyovitsa as a modern sports and tourism destination. During the event, tourists from across the country formed the words For the Lift with their bodies.
Participants warned that the progress achieved in recent years could be seriously undermined if the lift modernization project is halted despite having completed the required legal procedures.
Representatives of the tourism associations said the lift modernization is not an isolated infrastructure project but a key element of the resort's overall development. They stressed that a modern lift is essential for improving accessibility, enhancing visitor safety, hosting sporting events, and attracting more children, young people, and tourists.
After years of stagnation, Malyovitsa is once again hosting national and international competitions, children's camps, training sessions, and sports club initiatives. According to the participants, these activities are helping restore the resort's traditions and create opportunities for developing a new generation of athletes.
The participants said Malyovitsa is steadily regaining its role in Bulgarian mountain sports. They emphasized that the campaign's message is focused on the resort's future as a center for sports, training, and the development of children and young people.
