Varna Municipality Takes Action on Reports of Illegal Construction.
Varna Municipality has initiated administrative proceedings for the removal of illegal buildings, while other reports are under investigation. In the Sea Garden, an unauthorized extension was discovered, for which a formal report has been issued.
An inspection by the Varna Municipality has found unauthorized construction on a property in the city's Sea Garden near the Dolphinarium, according to a report submitted to Mayor Blagomir Kotsev by the municipal Construction Control Department.
Municipal inspectors carried out several inspections of the property (cadastral identifier 10135.536.1026 ). During the initial inspections, they concluded that the completed renovation works were consistent with the submitted technical assessment, which indicated that the buildings had not been enlarged during the repairs.
Following new information suggesting possible illegal construction, a second on-site inspection was conducted. Inspectors found that one of the buildings on the property (identifier 10135.536.1026.2 ), which is listed as a single-story structure in the cadastral register, had been expanded into a two-story building.
A subsequent document review established that no building permit had been issued for the additional floor.
A formal inspection report has been issued, initiating proceedings under the Spatial Development Act for the removal of the illegal extension. Authorities are currently notifying the property owners in accordance with legal requirements, after which the administrative procedure will continue.
At the same time, the municipality is continuing work on issuing demolition orders for illegal buildings in the Baba Ali area. Officials said access to the structures has been obstructed by metal fences approximately 2.5 meters high.
