Varna Administrative Court Opens Case Over Wind Farm Project.

The Varna Administrative Court has opened private administrative case No. 1678/2026 following a complaint filed by EE Lozenets Ltd. VA-1/S/2026 of the Director of the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water in Varna (RIEW). The decision suspended the administrative procedure for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of a wind farm project.

The complaint argues that the environmental authority’s decision to halt the procedure is entirely unlawful and was issued in violation of the Administrative Procedure Code.

The proceedings before RIEW Varna were suspended due to a separate case before the Dobrich Administrative Court, where the investor is appealing the cancellation of the wind farm design permit by the Municipality of Krushari.
