Military Columns to Move to Koren Training Ground.

The movement will take place for participation in field training from the points of permanent deployment to the Koren training ground and back. The military columns will travel along the routes from their permanent deployment points to the Koren training ground and, after the exercises are completed, will return by the same route. The motorcades will be escorted by Military Police teams to ensure road safety.

In the same context of intensified training, between May 26 and June 13 this year, a significant number of personnel and military equipment already moved along the country’s national road and railway network. At that time, the logistical manoeuvres were organised because of the joint participation of the Land Forces of Bulgaria, Romania, the United States and Turkey, together with NATO’s Multinational Battlegroup, in the large-scale live-fire tactical exercise Response Strike 26, which was also held at the Koren training ground near Haskovo.

A major movement of servicemen and military equipment will take place along the national road infrastructure in the country. According to the press office of the Ministry of Defence, the redeployment of personnel and specialised vehicles from the Land Forces is planned for June 29 and July 4 this year.
