Yellow Warning for Dangerous Heat Issued in 14 Regions.

The warning for high temperatures of 35° to 37°C applies to the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Silistra, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Yambol.

During the day, the weather will be sunny, with insignificant cumulus clouds over the mountains after noon. A light wind will blow from the east-northeast, becoming moderate in eastern areas. The night will be clear and calm, while atmospheric pressure will remain higher than the June average, with no prospects for significant change.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology advises residents of these parts of the country to be cautious, as health problems are possible for sensitive and ill people, the elderly and children. Expected temperatures will reach 35°–37°C, requiring increased caution. High temperatures can lead to health problems, especially among vulnerable groups such as elderly people, children and people with chronic illnesses. Avoiding direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day, regular fluid intake and wearing light cotton clothing are recommended.

Hot weather with maximum temperatures between 32° and 37°C is expected, around 32°C in Sofia, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. Temperatures in the capital are expected to be around 32°C. The wind will be light, but in eastern areas it may reach moderate strength, blowing from the east-northeast.
